The Skin and Mole Clinic - Joondalup - FAQ

In Western Australia, 2 in 3 people will get skin cancer.  So it is recommended to get a skin check every 12 months.

Below is some information about the process of having a skin check at The Skin and Mole Clinic - Joondalup

What happens at the Clinic?

On arrival you will fill out a simple questionnaire outlining you’re past skin cancer treatments, family history and other relevant medical history. The doctor will then call you into the room and discuss this with you to clarify any points of interest to him/her. After this you will undress in private to your underwear.

Your examination

Full body examinations (underwear is left on) are a routine and vital part of your preventive healthcare routine. At The Skin and Mole Clinic, we take this very seriously and no shortcuts are taken. Every significant mole on your body will be subject to a computerized scan, including all those that either you or your doctor is concerned about.

How long does it take?

Depending on the complexity of your skin & moles, your examination should take approximately 15 minutes.

Do I need a referral?
