Mole Clinic
CORONAVIRUS HEALTH ALERT

9/3/2020

As a response to the COVID 19 situation, the Skin & Mole Clinic has implemented the following policies.   The policies are based on the latest medical advice and will be updated as soon as we have new information.

The Goals of the Policies are:

  • To protect our patients, staff and the wider community by strictly adhering to Department of Health guidelines
  • To implement and maintain a "Safe Clinic" environment by going above and beyond the above guidelines. We intend to provide an "ultra-safe" environment for our patients with multiple layers of protection.
  • To continue providing our patients with essential skin cancer checks and surgery in an environment where many other medical services are being curtailed or cancelled. We do not want an epidemic of untreated skin cancer to follow the current viral pandemic.

Our Patient Attendance Policies:

If ANY of the following apply to you, please do not attend the clinic. We ask you instead to telephone our staff on 9301 1825 and reschedule your appointment or procedure.

1. Any patient who is not feeling well with a fever, cough or any respiratory symptoms.

2. Any patient in legally enforced quarantine

3. Any patient who has returned from overseas or interstate in the past 14 days.

4. Any patient who is sharing a house with another person AND:

  • The housemate is unwell with temperature / respiratory symptoms
  • The housemate has returned from overseas/interstate in the past 14 days
  • The housemate is in legally enforced quarantine for any other reason.

5. Any patient who has had contact with someone with either suspected or confirmed Coronavirus COVID19 in the past 14 days.

If ANY of the above apply to you, please contact us on 9301 1825 to reschedule your appointment. There are no financial penalties for cancellation, and we will gladly reschedule your appointment for the near future.

If you are unwell please also telephone (do not visit) your local GP clinic for advice.

This policy will help us protect our patients, staff and the wider community from a Coronavirus epidemic. Thank you very much for your co-operation.
